New Collectible Teddy Bear Web Store Opens its E-Doors

Windsor, Nova Scotia Canada (PRWEB) June 28, 2009 -- When people start hobbies, such as collecting coins or comic books, the fandom typically begins and ends there. For teddy bear collector, Mandy Fleet, simply going out to stores or scouring in the internet wasn't enough; she decided to stuff her own animals.

Fleet now designs and creates her own teddy bears, which can be found on her new website, www.TeddiliciousBears.com.

"As a collector, I wanted to be able to find something that was different, which lead to me creating my own line and website," she said. "I design everything from start to finish."

Though the site recently debuted in March 2009, it has a pretty impressive catalog of limited edition collectible teddy bears, all of which are one of a kind, and unique bears. Fleet also specializes in custom teddy bears and special memory bears, which requires a customer to have a consultation with her.

"I love to create and design and so there's a challenge in speaking with someone and taking an idea that someone has and putting into fruition," said Fleet.

In addition to bears, Fleet is currently in the process of designing ceramic dolls, which should appear on the site shortly ("They're ceramic dolls with a twist," she said).

Fleet also has launched a blog (www.TeddiliciousTeddInfo.com) to coincide with her website.

"The blog will be an educational and informative one," she said. "I'll be writing about the different patterns and types of bears out there. It'll be helpful for any collector or teddy bear enthusiast."

As the internet continues to grow and more collectors like Fleet are allowed the opportunities to branch out and get creative, she's steadfast in noting that for her, the joy is in the creation of the teddy bears and not the monetary gain.

"It's not about the money, but there is a satisfaction I get from making someone happy," Fleet explained.
